Road tolls in Norway

For a foreign-registered vehicle, use an AutoPASS electronic device with an agreement or Epass24 for payment by registration number.

Which vehicle category?

AutoPASS

Up to 3.5 t · group 1
The category is based on the maximum permissible mass in the registration document.
Over 3.5 t · group 2
Exception: an M1 vehicle, including a motorhome, uses group 1 with a valid agreement and device.
Emissions-based prices
Some toll stations distinguish electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids, diesel and other fuels; heavy vehicles also have Euro categories.

Register the foreign vehicle's fuel type and emissions; without these details, the highest tariff may be charged.

Price by route and vehicle category

There is no single nationwide price. Tolls are in NOK and depend on the station, category, emissions, time and discount under an electronic payment agreement.

How to pay

AutoPASS describes two options: an agreement with a provider and a device, or registration with Epass24 without a device. A passenger car device must be ordered in advance.
